Stacy Cozad leads Xylem’s legal, nonfinancial compliance, and enterprise risk management functions. In this role, she and her team are responsible for ensuring compliance, safeguarding company assets, and enabling the company’s work to help its customers and communities build a more water-secure world.

Background

Stacy joined Xylem in 2025, bringing nearly 30 years of legal experience and over 19 years in leadership roles. She has advised multinational public companies across aerospace, aviation, specialty chemicals, and manufacturing, including as:

  • Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of Ingevity Corporation, where she also led the communications, government affairs, and sustainability teams
  • Senior Vice President, General Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer, and Corporate Secretary of Spirit AeroSystems, Inc., where her role included leading contracts management, international trade compliance, and cybersecurity
  • Associate General Counsel, Litigation, Southwest Airlines Co.

Community Impact

Stacy is deeply committed to mentoring and empowering others to realize their full potential. She served as a Big Sister in the Big Beyond program of Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Lowcountry in Charleston, South Carolina. She champions empowerment of individuals with disabilities through her service on the board of Palmetto Goodwill, an organization dedicated to changing lives by providing equitable access to training, education, and employment.
