A successful wastewater infrastructure project in one of Stockholm’s growth areas
Stockholm is growing, placing new demands on the water and wastewater system. One of the city’s new development areas is Bromstensstaden in north-western Stockholm, located on the former Bromsten industrial site. Bromstensstaden will comprise approximately 1,600 residential units surrounding a central park, along with a preschool, workplaces, and retail premises.
The challenge
Stockholm Vatten commissioned two new pumping stations for Bromstensstaden, including one main pumping station. The project comprised the delivery and installation of pumps, mechanical services, ventilation, electrical systems, control and monitoring, building automation, as well as interior structural fit-out for both pumping stations.
