General questions around Secure Connect

Secure Connect is a digital service that provides alerts and data-driven insights from a device connected to your pump stations or other water infrastructure assets. Once a modem is installed to connect all the assets, you can have a total overview of all connected operations, anytime, anywhere.

  1. Click the profile icon in the upper right-hand corner.
  2. A panel for the user settings opens.
  3. See the current Secure Connect version in the panel.

Make sure that both Secure Connect and the gateway have the latest software version.

The following data is stored in Secure Connect:

  • User information
  • Customer information
  • Station information
  • Device data
  • Alarm data

All the data is stored in the US, AWS region: us-east-1.

  1. Click the profile icon in the upper right-hand corner.
  2. A panel for the user settings opens.
  3. Click the Dark mode to switch between the dark and the light mode.

Secure Connect enables the customers to use single sign-on (SSO) with their corporate credentials when implemented in collaboration with the customer. Contact your local Xylem representative to find out more about this feature.

Secure Connect mobile

To create a station that has a CCD connection, these prerequisites must be fulfilled:

  • The gateway is turned on.
  • The wiring to the station devices is completed.

The prerequisites are not applicable to stations that have no gateway.

  1. Go to Stations.
  2. Press the  icon.
  3. Type the station details and press Next.
  4. Select a gateway type:
    • If No gateway is selected, press Next and continue to the step 6.
    • If CCD is selected, do the following steps:
      a. Type the gateway serial number.
      b. Press Install.
      Secure Connect installs the gateway.
      c. If the signal strength is unsatisfactory, change the antenna position and press Try again.
      d. Press Next.
      e. Optional: Adjust the station location.
  5. Optional: Add a call list association.
  6. Optional: Add a device.
  7. Enable or disable station services.
  8. Press Done.
    The station is ready to use.

Secure Connect does not support too old versions of the mobile application. To access all features and updates, always use the latest version of the application.

Secure Connect updates the mobile app at regular intervals to introduce new features and functionalities. When a new mobile app version is available, the user can download the new version from the App Store or the Play Store. If the app is not updated for a longer period, the user gets the following pop-up window in the app.

The user can click Not now to update the app later. Some functionalities can be limited in the older versions. It is recommended to use the latest version of the app. For the deprecated mobile app version, it is mandatory to update the app.
