The City of Riverside’s Regional Water Quality Control Plant needed to clean out digesters to get them ready for de-servicing. They hadn’t been cleaned out since they went into service more than 25 years ago. Due to the high volume of non-volatizing solids, such as wood, plastic, hair and other stringy material, Riverside’s Control Plant was having a difficult time draining the digesters back to their headworks.
