Our Supply Chain

Responsible and ethical business conduct extends to everyone we do business with across our supply chain. To foster a safe and healthy work environment, uphold fair labor practices, and strengthen our commitment to sustainability, we continuously expand and enhance our partnerships with more than 12,000 suppliers. 

We expect all our suppliers to adhere to the principles outlined in our Business Partner and Supply Partner Code of Conduct conducting business ethically and responsibly while creating long-term sustainable value for our customers.

As a water technology company, we believe committing to the WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene) Pledge is the right thing to do, especially as global water challenges are intensifying, placing people and communities around the world at increasing risk. We look forward to working together, with our suppliers, to formalize our commitment to providing access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene in all workplaces in our direct supply chain.

Sustainability at Xylem starts with our value system and a principles-based approach to doing business. As a United Nations Global Compact signatory, we operate in ways that, at a minimum, meet fundamental responsibilities in areas of human rights, labor, environment, and anti-corruption. Xylem enacts the same values and principles in our Supply Chain. Our goal is to created a shared commitment with our suppliers towards sustainable supply chains.
Xylem has selected EcoVadis to simplify collaboration with our trading partners in order to assess Corporate social Responsibility (CSR) Worldwide.

As climate change creates greater hydrological variation around the world, policymakers, regulators and the public are increasingly looking to utility providers to do more to solve critical water challenges for your communities today, and to mitigate growing problems that threaten the future.
The water sector also has an important role to play in the mitigation of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.
It is our responsibility to work with our suppliers to make sure we capture the water usage and GHG emissions in our supply chain; that we partner to continuously improve our performance against science-based targets.

At Xylem we address Sustainability from an Opportunity and from a Risk Management perspective. We focus on Environment, Health and Safety (EHS), Human Rights, and Business Continuity topics as we qualify and evaluate our suppliers.
