Is your flow monitoring site impacted by flash flooding, debris or high turbulent conditions? Xylem's real-time monitoring of surface velocity within the channel allows the system to develop an accurate stage-discharge relationship in an exceptionally short timeframe. The internal stage-discharge rating curve is continuously assessed from surface velocity and water level measurements over consecutive flow events to provide the most accurate flow record within the flow monitoring site and hydraulic conditions.
Join Daniel Wagenaar on June 20th from 9:30am to 12:30pm (GMT+8) at the Sands Expo & Convention Centre, Marina Bay Sands (MBS) Level 3, Room 3911 where he will address the following topics:
Daniel started his hydrometric career in South Africa as a Civil Engineer Technician with experience in surface and groundwater monitoring. He expanded his career of 36 years in water engineering and hydrometric operations by accepting the Manager of Water Monitoring Systems position (2008) in Northern Territory, Australia. He made the conscious decision to further specialize in Water Engineering by accepting a position (2014) at SonTek, acoustic Doppler manufacturer in the USA. Daniel returned to Australia by accepting a Senior Hydrologist position (2018) at Xylem Water Solutions. Daniel holds a B.Sc. in Water Engineering (Central University Technology) and B.Sc. in Geohydrology (Free State University).
Daniel has worked closely with colleagues at Xylem Water Solutions and The University of Queensland over the past 3 years during the development of Xylem's non-contact flow gauging solution, with specific focus on the deployment and data review of optical flow measurements.
