Starting in March 2020, America's Water Infrastructure Act (AWIA) will require community drinking water systems to develop or update Risk and Resilience Assessments (RRAs) and Emergency Response Plans (ERPs) if the systems serve more than 3,300 people. AWIA is a concrete example of how the water utility industry is increasingly focused on solving the risks posed by natural disasters, malevolent acts, and aging infrastructure. This webinar will educate attendees on the requirements of AWIA and include information on other government initiatives that are putting utility resiliency in the spotlight. More importantly, the webinar will highlight several Xylem solutions that are helping water, wastewater, and stormwater utilities address risk by building in dynamic resiliency into their systems. We will present case studies on Xylem solutions that have helped address increasing storm severity, sea level rise, aging infrastructure, and water quality issues brought on by growing urbanization and increasing runoff.
