Xylem Vue’s Sewer Tracker application provides an early warning system to detect discharges, safeguarding sewer networks, WWTPs and the environment. It helps utilities monitor wastewater quality, as well as detecting and locating the source of industrial pollutants, which can impair biological processes in wastewater treatment plants, reduce effluent quality, and increase operational costs.

The application, which is part of the Xylem Vue platform, centralizes real-time monitoring of wastewater quality in the sewer system, and detects irregular industrial discharges at an early stage to ensure optimal treatment plant operation.

• Integration of different data sources with information about the network and wastewater treatment plants to detect discharges in real time, locate their origin in the sewer system and link them to any negative issues that become apparent in the treatment facilities, using machine-learning algorithms.
