The Environmental and Legislation Course covers all latest European directives related to the ecodesign legislation for pumps and motors including timelines. In addition, the one-day class covers the new “green” systems developed by Xylem to move and reuse water, like solar pumps, rain water harvesting systems, water treatment units and instruments for the analysis of fluids. The Environmental and Legislation Course also includes a plant tour of the manufacturing facility.

A session dedicated to the Ecodesign Framework (2009-125, the ErP) and its directives related to pumps and motors. Attendees learn which are the current directives and laws acting to reduce energy consumption, together with an overview of future development in terms of innovation and Life Cycle Cost analysis.

During this course attendees have the chance to better understand the latest innovations in high efficiency systems available in the market, together with renewable energy products and design – such as solar panel, geothermal, hybrid systems and rain water harvesting systems.
Duration: 1,5 hours.
Xylem’s facilities adopt the Lean Manufacturing approach, reducing the delivery time and waste with very high flexibility. During the tour the visitor has the possibility to see all the different steps in the manufacturing process, starting with the raw material up to shipment of the final product.
