Remote inspection

How do I start a new inspection round?

Go to Stations.
Select a station.
Go to Inspections.
Click the Start new inspection round button.
Avensor starts a new inspection round.
To exit the inspection round, click the Exit inspection round button.

Where do I find the inspection history for a station?

Go to Stations.
Select the station.
Go to Inspections.

Avensor lists the inspection history.

What is the Remote inspection service?

With the Remote inspection service, the user can start an inspection round. The inspection round guides the user through each station that is related to the customer. After a detailed station checkup, or a brief look at the station overview, the user marks the station as inspected. The user can also write a description. The inspections are logged, and the inspection history is available for each station.

How do I enable the Remote inspection service for a customer?

Only Xylem personnel can enable this service.

Go to Admin > Customers.
Select the customer.
Click Edit.
In the Services section, check the Remote inspection option.
Click the Save button.

Avensor makes the Remote inspection service available for the stations that are related to the customer. By default, Xylem personnel are allowed to do remote inspections.

How do I prevent Xylem from doing remote inspections?

Go to Admin > Customers.
Select the customer.
Go to the Xylem control tab.
Click the Remote inspection switch.
Click Save.

Avensor prevents Xylem from doing remote inspections.

How do I enable remote control for a station?

Go to Stations.
Select a station.
Go to Settings.
Go to the Services tab.
Click the Remote control switch.

Avensor enables remote control of the applicable devices in the station.

How do I enable remote control for a customer?

Go to Admin > Customers.
Select a customer.
Click Edit.
In the Services section, check the Remote control option.
Click the Save button.

Avensor makes the Remote control service available for the stations that are related to the customer.

How do I allow Xylem to control devices remotely?

This setting is available when the Remote control service is enabled for the related customer.

Go to Admin > Customers.
Select a customer.
Go to the Xylem control tab.
Click the Remote control switch.
Click the Save button.

Can other Avensor customers control my assets?

No, only you and Xylem can control your assets if the remote control service is enabled. Xylem never uses the remote control without your approval.
