Xylem Passes MID Re-Verification Audit with Flying Colours
Confirming Excellence in Metrology and Manufacturing at Our Ludwigshafen Facility
Ludwigshafen, Germany – 21 May, 2025 – Xylem is pleased to announce the successful completion of the Measurement Instrument Directive (MID) re-verification audit, which took place between 29th – 30th April 2025, at its Sensus Ludwigshafen facility. The audit confirmed the company’s outstanding Metrology performance in accordance with the directive 2014/32/EU (MID) for the modules H1 and (B)+D.

Comprehensive Audit Led by Expert Auditors
The audit, which encompassed both manufacturing and R&D aspects, was led by module D & H1 expert auditors from the Conformity Assessment Body, the German National Metrology Institute – Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB).
The evaluation included detailed reviews of the Xylem R&D and manufacturing processes throughout the Ludwigshafen facility, to ensure compliance to the exacting standards and guidelines set by the MID. The audit was extremely comprehensive and involved the collaboration of many departments.
