Since 1954, the Little Red Schoolhouse, a fully equipped learning center in Morton Grove, Illinois, has trained more than 70,000 engineers, contractors and installers in the proper design, installation and maintenance of hydronic and steam systems. With the advent of our “traveling classroom” program – a series of field trainings hosted by B&G reps throughout the country – the Little Red Schoolhouse is reaching thousands more professionals each year.

Our training curriculum is created using the core hydronic and steam engineering principles established by Gil Carlson and his Bell & Gossett engineering team back in the 1950s. With an eye toward sustainability, training modules are frequently updated to support advancements in equipment design and operation, along with the evolving focus on sustainability, decarbonization and electrification of hydronic systems.

In addition to in-person classroom programming through the Little Red Schoolhouse, the Bell & Gossett Online Little Red Schoolhouse offers free online learning opportunities and resources for industry professionals. Free, on-demand webinars, training videos and CEU-eligible courses can all be accessed from the hub, while our training manuals are available for instant download on a range of troubleshooting and product application topics.
